| Straight Talk BlogThe constant challenge of trying to balance work, family, and everyday responsibilities can bring even the best of relationships to its knees. If you throw in an affair, emotional abuse, depression, addiction etc., it seems near impossible for couples to survive unscathed.
Couples need more help. They need to learn how to navigate through all the obstacles life throws at them in a way that is healing to both partners. They need to learn how to: negotiate, argue without hurting one another, have each other’s back, be cherishing, and build up some reserves so when they hit rough times they have some savings in the relationship bank account to draw from. In essence, couples need a coach.
If you’re struggling in your relationship and would like you and your partner to be emotionally closer, work as a team, have each other’s back, enjoy each other’s company once again, and actually like coming home… then it’s time to start working on it. Relationship coaching is an easy, powerful way to enhance your relationship and get it back on track and better than before.
Lisa works with couples either over the phone or in the office. Phone coaching is for couples who want to improve what they already have and move their relationships up from mediocre to great… or as Lisa says, they want to move from the ‘Economy Lodge’ to the ‘Five Star Resort’.
How phone coaching works
Phone coaching ranges from three to four and a half total hours per month broken into 55 minute weekly calls or 90 minute calls two to three times per month. The number of hours is determined by the needs of the couple. Couples do not need to be in the same location to call in for sessions.
How office sessions work
For couples significantly struggling in their relationship Lisa recommends office sessions. The first two office sessions are provided in three-hour time blocks every other week and then reduce to two hours every other week. The longer sessions allow Lisa to go deeper with the couple which creates more substantial change quicker.
Full-day intensive sessions are also available for those couples who live out of the area or state, are significantly struggling in their relationship, or for those who want to learn many skills in a relatively short period of time.

So take a leap and move your relationship from a Roach Motel to a Five Star Resort — hire a coach. You and your partner will be glad you did.
